Our Vision
The Dementia Support Vision
Our vision as a charity is a society where dementia is wholly understood and accepted, enabling people living with dementia to be fully supported throughout the whole of their journey.
Our Mission
Dementia Support was set up in 2014 to provide a vital service offering support, guidance, and care for people in our community living with dementia. Dementia is a complex disease with a rapidly increasing prevalence.

The charity aims to deliver seamless and holistic care from a centre of excellence for local people living with dementia. Sage House has been designed to minimise confusion, with its dementia friendly layout, accessible and bright open spaces and non-clinical environment.

We work in partnership with the NHS, County Council and other statutory, voluntary and charitable organisations from within the community. Our innovative approach brings all dementia services into one welcoming and inclusive hub that puts the needs of those affected at the heart of what we do.
We're changing the narrative
It is estimated that over 17,500 people are living with dementia in West Sussex, and this number is increasing. A study conducted by the University of Chichester shows that Sage House has had a significant positive impact on the people it supports, as well as relieving pressure from already overwhelmed local NHS services. You can read more about this study and its findings here.

We want to replicate the incredible impact Sage House has had in other communities across the UK and reach as many families affected by dementia as possible. If you’d like to find out more about our adaptable, scalable and flexible Sage House model, please visit the Dementia Support website.
