Community Ambassador

Raise awareness of our charity in your local community.

Are you enthusiastic and friendly? Are you eager to get involved with your local community and spread awareness of dementia and Sage House? Then you would make the perfect Community Ambassador.

What is a Community Ambassador?

A Community Ambassador is a volunteer position, representing Sage House and Dementia Support within your local community. You will attend events in your community to spread the word about our work and support fundraising locally.

Be part of a friendly and dedicated team, and know you are making a positive difference in your community. Flexibly manage your own availability in this volunteer role; events may take place in the evenings and weekends, or during school holidays.

What does the role involve?

As a Community Ambassador, you will:

  • Attend local community events on behalf of Dementia Support. This will include promoting the charity, giving out leaflets and raising money with collection buckets.

  • Distribute posters and flyers around your local area.

  • Pick up and replace collection tins in your area.

  • If you are on social media, share our posts to local groups.

Optional:

  • Giving talks to local community groups about dementia and Sage House (full training and talk content will be provided).

What are the benefits?

  • Receive full training about dementia and Sage House.

  • Attend our annual recognition event with other volunteers.

  • Dementia Support t-shirt, cap, tote bag, pin badge and your own lanyard.

  • Help people with dementia find out about our services.

  • Make a real difference to Sage House, our customers living with dementia and the wider community.

Full training will be provided including our Dementia Supporter Awareness Training and a full overview of the services at Sage House. You will also receive an induction pack and a guide to dementia and our services.
