Business Ambassador

Raise awareness for our charity in your sector

In this volunteer role, represent Sage House and Dementia Support within your business sector, local area or network.

Know that you and your business are making a positive difference in your community. Flexibly manage your own availability in this volunteer role by giving as much or as little of your time as you like.

What does the role involve?

​

As a Business Ambassador, you will raise awareness of Dementia Support within the local business community. This includes:

  • Talking about our work as a charity in your business community

  • Suggesting us for 'Charity of the Year' opportunities and share the benefits

  • Promoting our events and network meetings throughout the business calendar

  • Introducing us to new local businesses so we can build relationships and partnerships

You can also:

  • Help promote and advocate for Dementia Supporter Training across different sectors 

  • Leverage 'good deals' and equipment donations when needed

  • Advocate for the charity on social media by sharing posts to your network and local groups

  • Host meetings at Sage House 

  • Help us access pro-bono and specialist volunteer support

​

Optional:

  • Giving talks to local community groups about dementia and Sage House (full training and talk content will be provided)

What are the benefits?

  • Help people with dementia find out about and access our services

  • Receive a Dementia Support t-shirt, cap, tote bag, pin badge and your own lanyard

  • Make a real difference to Sage House, our customers living with dementia and the wider community

Please note that if accepted as a business ambassador for Dementia Support, this is a personal appointment and applies to you as an individual. It is not transferable and is not an endorsement of your company.

Full training will be provided including our Dementia Supporter Awareness Training and a full overview of the services at Sage House. You will also receive an induction pack and a guide to dementia and our services.
