Light Up Chichester for Dementia Awareness Banner

Light Up Chichester for Dementia this May

On Monday 13th May, Chichester is lighting up blue and purple to raise awareness of people living with dementia and those who care for them.

Taking place during Dementia Action Week, buildings across Chichester will be turning blue and purple to raise awareness of dementia and Sage House, a dementia hub run by local charity Dementia Support. Take a walk around Chichester to see all the buildings lit up, including the Cross, library, fire station, police station, Metro House, Prebendal School, the Duke & Rye, St Pancras Church, Assembly Rooms and many more.

We want to shed light on the estimated 17,500 people living with dementia in West Sussex and help them access the vital support they deserve in Tangmere.

Sage House is a dementia hub run by local charity Dementia Support, which provides life-changing support for families affected by dementia. You can read more about the amazing and vital work Sage House does here.

Light Up Chichester is organised by the Chichester Dementia Alliance, a group of local organisations aiming to raise awareness of dementia locally. Members include:

Competition for local primary schools

Colour in the Dementia Support flower as creatively as you can - make sure to use blue and purple in your design! The best flower, judged by customers of Sage House, will win a cuddly toy for everyone in their class.

Every flower will be displayed at Chichester Library on Monday 13th May. Click here to download your colouring sheets.

When they're coloured in, please return them to Sage House, City Fields Way, Tangmere, PO20 2FP by Wednesday 8th May or contact us and we will collect them.
