Their grandfather has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's so they wanted to raise money for Sage House by camping and trekking in Snowdonia and reaching the summit of Snowdon via Crib Goch. George and Joe arrived in a very cold Snowdonia on Good Friday. They caught the snowdon sherpa bus to Pen y Pass and ascended on the Pyg Track and then Crib Goch, which was a real adventure (this is the hardest route up and they saw Mountain Rescue helicopter someone off the arete). There was a lot of snow on the summit. They got up and down in 5 hours. They only stayed one night as their mattress deflated and it was too cold to use camping gas! But it was a great adventure and they raised £300! Well done boys!

Amelia's lovely grandma was recently diagnosed with advanced Alzheimer’s. This diagnosis and her rapid decline has had a huge impact on her family. Emily challenged herself to run the whole half marathon for the first time ever, in memory of her late grandad who sadly passed away as a result of dementia. In Emily’s words, he was "the most loveliest of people, Roger Martin".

A half marathon is a fantastic achievement in itself, but Emily also coped with running after having undergone bilateral foot surgery in September 2022, where both metatarsal bones were broken, and now has pins and staples in both big toes. She also powered through some extremely hot and wet weather on the day.
