At Sage House, our volunteers are at the very heart of everything we do. From the warm welcome at the door to the quiet, behind-the-scenes support that keeps the charity running, their kindness and commitment touch every corner of our work.
So it felt only right to take a moment to say thank you.
We were delighted to host our Volunteer Appreciation Day in Daisy's Café, as part of Volunteer Appreciation Week 2026, where our volunteers were treated to a delicious cream tea, lovingly served by the staff of the charity. It was a chance to turn the tables for an afternoon, with our team looking after the very people who give so much of themselves to support others.

The afternoon was filled with warmth, laughter, and plenty of well-earned conversation. We were also joined by several of our trustees and members of the Core Leadership Team, who shared heartfelt words of thanks and reflected on the enormous difference our volunteers make every single day.
The difference our volunteers make
Our volunteers support us in so many ways, across every area of the charity. Whether they are welcoming visitors, lending a hand in the café, helping at events, supporting our services, or giving their time behind the scenes, each and every contribution matters.
They bring more than just their time. They bring compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to support people living with dementia and their families. They help to create the welcoming, inclusive atmosphere that makes Sage House such a special place to be.
Quite simply, we could not do what we do without them.
Thank you, from all of us
To every one of our volunteers, thank you. Thank you for your time, your energy, and your unwavering commitment. Thank you for the smiles you bring, the support you give, and the difference you make to so many lives.
Days like this are a small way of showing our appreciation, but our gratitude goes far beyond a single afternoon. You are valued, you are appreciated, and you are an essential part of the Sage House family.
