An Update from Sally

Dear friends and supporters,

Sally from Sage House dementia hub in Tangmere

Firstly, my apologies for the “round robin” nature of this message, but I wanted to share this news personally with all those who have been such an important part of our journey together.

After 8½ incredible years, I have decided to step down from my role as CEO of Sage House Tangmere at the end of this year.

Many of you will know that much of my recent focus has been on the charity’s National Ambitions - sharing and replicating the incredible model we have all helped create at Sage House to support people affected by dementia in the very best possible way.

From 1st January 2026, I will continue this work under Dementia Support, which has been operating independently since 1st April, with a mission to help other communities across the country adopt and adapt the Sage House Model.

It is an incredibly exciting time, with much to do - both in progressing our new Horsham Hub and in my work with the charity Guild Care in Worthing, where I have been supporting their plans to develop services for people affected by dementia following their acquisition of Holland House. They share our ambition to ensure that every local person living with dementia, and their family, receives the care, support, and understanding they deserve.

I truly believe that, together with everyone that has been involved with Sage House in any way through the years, we have started a social movement here in West Sussex, one that’s already shaping a better future for those affected by dementia.

If you haven’t seen it, last week’s Observer article perfectly captured the direction we are heading. Attending Parliament alongside partner charities - all committed to developing their own versions of the Sage House Model - was a proud and powerful moment.

I am completely confident that Sage House is in safe hands under Emma Radley’s leadership and our exceptional team. With that reassurance, I’ll be stepping down as CEO on 31st December 2025.

However… you won’t be getting rid of me that easily! From 1st January 2026, I will be joining the Board of Trustees at Sage House, continuing to support the charity’s growth in a new capacity.

I am immensely proud of what we have achieved together. Sage House has become a true Centre of Excellence - a place of hope, compassion, and community - made possible only through your belief, generosity, and support.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for being part of this journey. Sage House is in great shape for its next chapter, and I am so looking forward to continuing to play my part in what comes next.

With heartfelt thanks and warmest wishes,

Sally
