James Training for his Spinathon Challenge for Dementia Support Charity
James is Head of Fundraising and Communications at Sage House, and is setting himself an extra challenge on 17th May! Read his message and Sponsor him below:

As part of the Dementia Support Spinathon, at Westgate Leisure Centre, we are challenging people to ride 17km to raise awareness of the 17,000 people in West Sussex living with dementia.

On 17th May, I will be taking part in this challenge, but with a slight difference. I am aiming to ride the distance 10 times in 12 hours. If successful, this will mean riding 170km on a spin bike in 1 day.

This is going to be a huge challenge, both physically and mentally, but I will be giving it everything I can to raise awareness and much needed funds to support people living with dementia in our local community.

If you would like to help me on my journey then please do sponsor me by completing the form below. For example, you could sponsor me 10p for every kilometer I complete- which would be £17 to help people living with dementia if I complete the challenge.

  • £17 would pay for 5 spaces in an dementia friendly activity session

  • £170 would pay for 14 hours of respite care for someone with dementia

Upon completion of the event, I will be in touch with all sponsors to let you know how far I managed to ride.

Why not join me, by riding your own 17km on the day, and help motivate me along the way. You can sign up to take part here.

Thank you for your support
